What is YouTube suggesting for me?

Looking for something to analyze really takes up a whole lot of my time and recently it's resulted in me ending up somewhere completely unrelated to anything I'd even be able to write a blog post about. Also why do I always end up watching Tyler, the Creator vines while I search for things to write about? YouTube, I have questions. In this blog I will go through four videos on YouTube and see where I end up and from this we can analyze if YouTube can tell who I actually am and what I like and dislike, to see if the government is truly spying on us.

The first step I will take in all of this is to go into incognito mode on Chrome and go on YouTube. Now, the three videos that come up on trending are "Fortnite The Movie" by nigahiga, "Deadpool 2| With Apologies to David Beckham" by 20th Century Fox and "Donald Glover on This is America Music Video" by Jimmy Kimmel Live. From these three I will choose to watch the second one, "Deadpool 2...David Beckham" which is 1 minute and 46 seconds long, number 10 on trending. From this video there are suggestions of either more Deadpool 2 commercials or a "PURGE 4: The First Purge Trailer(2018)" by FilmSelect Trailer, which is the 4th suggestion, so we shall watch that and create a trend of choosing every fourth suggested video. It is 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Not going to lie, Purge 4 looks really good. The next video is another Deadpool related video called "DEADPOOL 2 'Mini Deadpool' Clip & Trailer (2018)" by KinoCheck International, and this video is 3 minutes and 16 seconds long. Let me just note, when I was making this I was talking to my mom and asked her if I could get a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and the commercial that played was exactly that. The last video however is "the fastest reflex ever.." by Finest Trends which is 6 minutes and 59 seconds long. Which is completely unrelated in its entirety.

In conclusion, when analyzing these trends I see while I don't truly believe YouTube is spying on me something is going on with their suggestions. The original video I chose was a movie trailer and because of that I got two other movie trailers, one of which was related to the first movie however the last video was completely unrelated; and for that I don't really have any explanations. Overall, YouTube isn't necessarily spying on us simply using videos we choose to give us more suggestions, but my real question why the last video?
